The Skinny on the Ultimate Reset – Day 11

I am over half way through the Ultimate Reset!!!!!!

You won’t believe something I’ve decided since about day 7…..drinking coffee MIGHT be a thing of the past for me!!??!! I know. I’m like significantly known for being everything coffee. But once I got over my withdrawals I realized how much I naturally feel better without it!?!?

Aside from green tea or my unicorn blood — I am also going to stay away from anything caffeinated at this point.  Ive fallen in love with Teeccino though!!

I’ve also resolved for the next 6 months I’m going to plan out in FULL DETAIL & PREP allllll of my meals eating at least 3-5 vegan meals each week.

You never think it’s possible but ITS TOTALLY POSSIBLE for you too!! The first 5 days were hairy I won’t lie.  Not because of what I could or could not eat, but the feelings associated to not eating my emotions, the actual aches from detoxing, lack of energy while my body was releasing years of toxins and the pains of change.

Overall the food is good minus a few choices like seaweed, tempeh, and mashed garbanzo beans….I am full and not hungry throughout most of the day (as long as I go to bed between 9-10 when I start dreaming about what’s in he kitchen I could nibble.)

So Day 11 was the first day I was tip top shape for the entire day!  Feeling full of energy and life, clear thinking and patient!

My breakfast is pretty much the same for the next 2 weeks! They give you other options such as Miso soup, avocado and mashed chick peas but like I said….. not my ideal breakfast! Fresh fruit will do me just fine!!!  I am in a routine of making myself one and the boys love it too! I read today that fruit in the morning is cleansing and easy to digest for the body!

Tomorrow I need to get to the store for distilled water and more fruit.

Here’s the Skinny on Day  11:

Wake up w/20 oz of distilled water (Mineralize added) and continue drinking this ALL day just not until 30 mins after a meal for digestion purposes!

Take Supplements (Optimize & Detox)

Wait 30 Minutes

Breakfast (fruit bowl above) Try to pick low glycemic and in season organic fruit

Wait at least 2 hours. (I waited 3)

Take Supplements again

Wait 30 min

Lunch

I don’t know that it’s allowed but I usually end up combining whatever mix of food combos they have set up. For instance today was cucumber tomato salad, 1 cup quinoa, and 1/4 avocado…so I just mixed it all in. It looks messy but tasted really great! Instead of the dressing listed (that was mostly the same ingredients as the greek dressing — I just used what I already had made of that) but here’s the recipe:

Cucumber & Tomato Salad courtesy of the Ultimate Reset

(Makes 1 Serving)

2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar

1 tsp. balsamic vinegar

1 Tbsp. lemon juice

2 tsp. extra-virgin olive oil

1 medium cucumber, partially peeled, cut lengthwise then sliced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 Tbsp. red onion, chopped

2 Tbsp fresh herbs (I used parsley & basil), chopped

Himalayan salt to taste (optional)

Herbal seasoning (optional)

Combine red wine & balsamic vinegars, lemon juice, and oil in a small bowl, mix well. Set aside. Combine cucumber, tomatoes, onion, parsley, basil, salt, and seasoning in a large bowl, mix well. Drizzle dressing over cucumber mixture; toss gently.

Wait at least 2 hours (I waited 3)

Take your power greens

Wait 30 minutes

Optional Snack – I had vanilla vegan Shako

Wait 2 hours

Take Supplements (Optimize, Detox & Soothe)

Wait 30 min

Dinner

Hearty Miso Soup

Hearty Vegetable Miso Soup

makes 1 serving

Ingredients:

• 1 t. extra virgin olive oil or safflower oil

• 2 T. finely chopped yellow onion

• 1 t. finely chopped garlic

• 1 small carrot, cut in thin diagonal slices

• 1 small celery stalk, cut in thin diagonal slices

• ½ t. peeled and finely grated ginger (I omitted – I hate ginger like a lot)

• 2 C. water

• ¼ C. broccoli florets

• 2 T. chopped fresh green beans (I only had asparagus)

• ¼ C. shredded Napa cabbage or bok choy

• 1 T. wakame seaweed (optional…It makes me hate life so I don’t add this either haha)

• ¼ t. sesame oil

• 1 T. sliced green onion

• 1 T. miso paste mixed with 2 T. hot water (also optional)

Directions:

1. Heat EVOO in soup pot on medium heat.

2. Add onion, garlic, ginger, carrot, and celery and saute for 5 minutes.

3. Add water and simmer on low for 20 minutes until veggies are tender.

4. Add broccoli, beans, cabbage, and seaweed.

5. Stir and simmer until tender but not overcooked; broccoli and beans should remain crisp.

6. Remove from heat and add sesame oil, green onion, and miso mixture.

1/4 cup quinoa & lemon greens (greens sautéed in extra virgin olive oil & squeeze of lemon)

Finished off the night with chocolate Teeccino in place of coffee or a cheat and I have to say it makes giving up coffee for good a breeze!!

Find Purpose, Reach Goals, Fulfill Dreams

What do you live for?
Have you ever wondered, have you ever asked yourself why you are here on earth? What are you living for? What are you hoping to achieve in life? What is the reason of your existence? Do you know where you are going?  Is this what you are living for?

In this time and age many of us, in fact far too many of us, live their life day by day without even knowing why they are alive. Mother Theresa wanted to care for and comfort the poor, the sick and the needy all over the world. Mahatma Gandhi wanted to set his people free from colonial domination and the evil consequences of the fighting between Muslim and Hindus. Walt Disney wanted to use his creativity and imagination, as well as his skills, to make people happy. But what about you? What are you living for? What is your purpose for living?

Without purpose your life is just like a ferris wheel: one day you are up and happy, the next you are down and out. And the following day the pattern repeats itself; on and on, on and on, on and on. Is this the life you want? Is it not time that you knew where your life is going? Is it not time that you took control of your life, used the power within you and you did some of the things that mean so much to you? What about your life goals and working to finally fulfill your dreams? There is one problem though…. you need to discover your life purpose first.

The 7 reasons for a life purpose
1. A purpose will give meaning to your life
2. A purpose will help you identify your goals
3. A purpose will keep your priorities in order
4. A purpose will motivate you into action
5. A purpose will release the power within you to live the present and establish your future
6. A purpose will develop your potential by stimulating your creativity and activating your initiative
7. A purpose will help you evaluate your progress

The power of purpose
A personal sense of purpose has two dimensions:
a) we work on it and shape it according to our circumstances and progress in life
b) it works on us giving us direction and momentum for action

Once you have determined your life purpose that purpose will work on your goals and your attitudes. That means that what ever the situation you are going through at the moment your life purpose should be your guiding force. Instead, when we surrender to our circumstances, we become slaves to our daily events. The result is that we will have good days and bad days, battles lost and victories struggled through. When we surrender to a clear and defined purpose we only have good days, where ever we go, what ever we do. Even in the midst of difficult times your purpose will drive you on and motivate you. Remember, a purpose never dies!

The 3 keys to purpose

1. It can be done!
You will need to raise your awareness of who has gone before you and done the same things or similar things. Let their actions and their lives be an example and an encouragement to you. It does not matter what your present reality is; it does not matter what your personal or financial situation is right now. What really matters is whether you are ready to do it because… it can be done!

2. You can do it!
You have to raise your self-confidence and self-motivation and realize that nothing is impossible for you… if you really want it. Just look around yourself and you will see that many achievements have been made by people from all walks of life and nationality and age and social background. The only reason why they did what they wanted to do is because they believed they could do it. And you can be one like them too! You can do it too!

3. You can win!
Determination and persistence always bring victory and success. The only difference between failure and success is the fact that some have carried on while others have stopped on the way. You can be the last one to arrive at the finish line of the Boston marathon or you can be the winner. The choice is up to you. You can climb a mountain or you can climb a sand dune; what is your dream in life? Are you really wanting to do something? Or is it only just talk and fancy thoughts in your mind? You have the choice to make it whatever you want it to be!

What do you do to make this your best life?

I have this burning desire to constantly GROW so I’ve made it a habit to spend at least 30 minutes a day in gratitude and soaking up a good audio book before I start working out to get myself in the right mindset to take on the day!
.
Many people simply let life HAPPEN to them and REACT IN DEFENSE… Instead make a clear plan on where you want to go, develop new habits & take ACTION to grow into the person you need to become in order to live the life you desire! .
Become the STAR QUARTERBACK of your life and throw yourself in the direction of your dreams by establishing a game plan to get you to the end zone! Even if life happens & blocks you or even tackles you and you lose ground… Good habits, a clear vision and a fierce determination will cause you to get back up, learn from your misstep and get back to the game!‪#‎yousototallyGOTthis‬

As I approach my 3rd year as a health coach, I can’t help but think of how MUCH has changed by that one leap of faith.

Spiritually. . .

And, FINANCIALLY.

I try my best to share why I think the coaching opportunity is such a GIFT; especially if you are looking at this from a BUSINESS perspective. Why let someone else decide what you are WORTH per HOUR? If you would have told me a few years back that I could make in one hour what used to take me 3-4 serving shifts at my high end restaurant job I wouldn’t have believed you. I’m just an ordinary girl. No special talents. I’ve failed at every single thing I’ve ever attempted in my life. Being the underdog is my comfort zone. I’m an introvert. And, I’ve always been terrible with numbers.

But this past month has been a great example of the power of duplication and how earning potential and the CULTURE of our Team leads to solid income.

-We work hard to share our TESTIMONY and are true believers that income, rank and success are natural byproducts when you SERVE others rather than SELL products.

The end of July and beginning of August was a BUSY week for our family…

-Aden’s birthday.
-Back to School prep and shopping.
-Tom having a jam packed work schedule.
-Catching up on summer work.
-Heading off for those final summertime excursions

Our accountability and coach training groups were in HIGH gear and LIVES were changing.
💛
Our Team was EXPLODING with growth. Woman and men who saw the potential and who knew that short term sacrifice would lead to long term gain.
💚
Coaches were growing families, pursuing their passions and serving others.

And because of THIS Team effort, incomes continued to grow.

Coaches came HOME to their families.

Mortgages, utilities, car payments, debt, savings and vacations were continuing to be funded by the PASSION of this Team.

— And, I earned my paycheck that if you equated it to a “per hour” scale (and I don’t want to rub anyone the wrong way but if you’re reading this, you know my heart). In that one hours worth of work (I could squeeze in for the week) I got paid $683.00 within that ONE, incredibly busy family week. It’s not the biggest check I’ve ever received as a coach but it was the MOST money I’ve ever earned in one hours time! And that’s not to say I don’t work more than that on an average #coachlife week but, where can you decide to make your own schedule everyday and earn an income whether you are present or not!?

It may be a LOT to some, and little to others…but to ME it was a TRUE representation that I’m building something I can do even while:

I stay true to OUR values.
I am home with ALL my children.
I am able to continue to contribute to OUR personal family goals and activities.
And that you CAN build, and earn and serve others all while being completely in charge of your own schedule and activities!
