The Skinny on the Ultimate Reset – Day 17

Wow!? Who am I!? It’s been sooooo Hard for me to get up before starting this detox and here I am bouncing out of bed before my alarm. No blurry eyed creep to the kitchen to fire up my tea cup and I’m diving into paint projects before I wake the boys up from school!?!?! What in the heck!?!

I had no idea sleeping soundly would be such an amazing benefit to this 21 days and honestly might make even my worst food day worth it!! As a mom we never expect to get a good nights sleep because even if the kids don’t wake us up we still listen for every noise, whisper, thud, and breath. But I am KNOCKED OUT at night and ready to wake up when or before my alarm goes off. There is so much beauty in waking up refreshed I had no clue what I was missing!!!

Here’s the Skinny on Day 17:

Wake up w/20 oz of distilled water (Mineralize added) and continue drinking this ALL day just not until 30 mins after a meal for digestion purposes!

Take Supplements (Optimize & Revitalize)

Wait 30 Minutes

Breakfast – 3 cups of fresh fruit (I blended a cup of mango into my Shako)

Wait at least 2 hours. (I waited 3)

Take Supplements again

Wait 30 min

Lunch – called for Morracan Carrot Salad with 3 cups of greens (not pictured – still steaming) and it just wasn’t in me to make it so I roasted some asparagus and steamed the carrots it called for and called it good. I’m usually great at meal prep but this final leg of the cleanse I’m not super excited about it.

Wait at least 2 hours (I waited 3)

Take your power greens

Wait 30 minutes

Optional Snack – I used my oil allowance from lunch to mix up this beauty. 1 Tbsp of coconut oil and 1 Tbsp of Shako vegan chocolate then 5 mins in the freezer and this was worth it!!!

Dinner – again. Food fail because I just wasn’t into what was called for so I made a 1/2 sweet potato with mixed veggies (zucchini, broccoli, red pepper, and asparagus)

I think what’s awesome about this plan is how easily you just revert to fruits or veggies with no desire to cheat. I could have easily eaten the steak the kids were eating but other than it smelling good I had no desire to eat it.

Wanna get a kick in your step without the superpowers of caffeine? I’m learning a lot during this 21 days and had NO IDEA I could live without something as sacred as coffee but here I am day 16 no caffeine!! 🤯 I add 1 Tbsp. in 4 ounces of distilled water with a squeeze of lemon and a pinch of pink Himalayan salt first thing in the morning. SOOO great for energy! + it’s said that it can help with weight loss (increases metabolism) and tons of other shit like balancing your bodies PH. I was OVER quinoa-lentil salad & broccoli so I opted for a yam in its place from the “Reset in a crunch” menu!

I was struggling a little so I had a bowl of pears and blueberries for “dessert”..normally the family makes cookies, s’mores, popcorn, brownies, or something on our Friday movie night and I will say that even though they enjoyed cookies and tater tot nachos I made I through with the fruit and this no caf teeccino! Shew! This 21 Day Fix Extreme progra21 day fixm is nooooo joke! I haven’t been 100% honest to the program this round but I have learned a lot about my eating habits.

I started this round by reviewing the nutrition guide, calculating my calories, determining the number of containers I can have each day, and then printing off the tracking sheets. You can print off your own tracking sheets at TEAM BEACHBODY under the GET FIT tab and Workout Sheets. They are seriously the best way to keep track of what you’re eating each day. There are also some great apps in the app store to help you with this if you prefer to keep track on your phone.

I created my own Excel spreadsheet for my personal meal plan which I have printed off and keep in the kitchen so I know exactly what I’m going to eat for each meal. On Sunday, I plan for the next week and prep anything I’ll need, like cooked chicken breast, brown rice, or veggies so that I’m not scrambling during the week.
