No Carb French Fries

K, well LOW CARB anyway!! My first thought was no way can you eat a turnip and believe it tastes like a french fry.

But my new food freedom hack says eat veggies most (green ones, not carb loaded potato ones) and the recipe says to chop this bad boy up and bake them with some seasoning so why not try it!? As I’m cutting them my eyes watered up a little and the scent reminds me to google if the turnip and the radish are related.

Baked at 425 for 45 minutes and it comes out looking like, get this, FRENCH FRIES!!! But, the taste!? Can a radish-esque looking green veggie (with 9g carbs) TASTE like a freaking carb loaded goodness like a potato (48g carbs)!? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

The answer is yes! Yes, that goofy turnip seasoned with garlic powder, parsley, and sea salt can taste like a got damn french fry!? WHAT!? MIND FREAKING BLOWN!!!

So, pin this recipe to your clean eating board and promise yourself you’ll try these this week (disclaimer I’ve had this recipe since May 2nd and just now tried it LOL)

Turnip French Fries

Parchment Paper

1 large turnips, peeled, cut into 1/2 x 4″ sticks

1 tsp. olive oil

1/4 tsp garlic powder & parsley blend

Sea salt (to taste)

1/4 tsp. black pepper

Preheat oven to 425. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine turnips with oil and seasonings. Toss to blend. Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning every 20, until crispy on the outside. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
